LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester is set to open on March 27, 2013 at Ridge Hill in Yonkers, New York. Before they open their doors they are looking to finish creating their Junior Construction Panel. They launched an online search to find the tri-state (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut) area’s most creative and brightest youngsters to join the panel.
I’m a huge Lego fan and use their products, especially the LEGO DUPLO blocks, with my students almost daily. If I were of age I’d definitely want to be a part of this construction panel. Unfortunately, I’ve aged out. They are looking for 12 imaginative and energetic children between the ages of 6 and 12. If chosen, children on the panel will serve as ambassadors for LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester throughout the year. Exciting, right? This will be a great experience for any child. Enter your child now, because the competition has been EXTENDED and now ends on February 19, 2013.
Check out what your child will receive if selected as a winner:
1. Receive a special “box of imagination”
2. Receive an annual pass to the attraction
3. Work alongside LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester Master Model Builder Mike Tocidlowski
4. Help finish plans for new LEGO® models
5. Provide input on what features could be added
6. Give their official approval when the attraction opens this spring
