It’s always a delight to find a new children’s television program that is educational, fun and engaging. You may have heard me talk about my love for Angela Santomero’s amazing series creations and now she does it again with Creative Galaxy an Amazon original series, which can be watched on Amazon Prime. Several months ago I attended the premiere of this children’s series and was excited about introducing it to all of you. Last week I had an amazing opportunity which allowed me to have a private screening of the series right in the So Family studio. I invited two families over to enjoy a few episodes of the series with the So Family team. The children that joined us ranged in ages from 2-7. Creative Galaxy is a series intended for preschoolers, but kids of all ages enjoy it. Watch a little bit of the fun we had in the studio watching the series and then creating art that was inspired by Creative Galaxy.
As a teacher and an auntie I just love how the main character Arty encourages children to create art while they’re watching and after the show. Oh and there are even short clips of everyday children creating art inspired by the show at the end of each episode. How amazing is that? is your child ever inspired by a television series to make art? Make sure you have some crayons, markers and paper ready while your children watch this show. Their creativity may be sparked and they may start creating magic right there. During our screening I placed paper and crayons on the table while the children watched the episodes. They all started drawing their own versions of what Arty was creating in the show. What a great Creative Galaxy afternoon we had.
About Creative Galaxy from Amazon Prime Instant Video:
Creative Galaxy, produced by Out of the Blue Enterprises with Angela Santomero (Blue’s Clues, Super Why!) serving as Creator and Executive Producer, is a make-along, create-along, interactive art adventure series for preschoolers. Characters Arty and Epiphany travel around the galaxy to solve problems with art, inspiring creative thinking through crafts, music and dance. To give kids and parents the real-life tools they need to re-create Arty’s experience, a live-action piece at the end of each animated episode will take viewers through the craft project that Arty showcased in the galaxy.
