Presented by Monica J Sutton

Welcome to the Podcast.  Every week Monica will bring you a new episode filled with honest information, stories, experiences and sometimes special guests to help you with the daily challenges that come up when raising a young child today.

Episode 9 Show Notes:

Play is a Child’s Work + Interview with Child Development Expert Dr. Sandra J. Stone

Have you heard? Play is a child’s work and we can not underestimate its importance in the development and growth of young children. One of my favorite hashtags to use is #PlayAndLearn, because those two things go hand in hand. Just remember this, when your child is playing they are developing new skills and growing others.

During my time at the International Toy Fair I was able to spend some time with play expert and author Dr. Sandra Stone. It was such a pleasure chatting with her. When didn’t have much time, but theme we did spend together was wonderful. Of course I had to ask her for some tips on play for you all. Hear what Dr. Stone had to say about importance of play int he life of a child. Grab your headset, EarPods or headphones and listen now.

Don’t forget to check in every Wednesday for a new episode. Come hang out with me on Instagram or Pinterest (@monicajsutton), so we can hold each other accountable on understanding your child’s behavior and development and how to best approach the daily ups and downs.  Chat soon!
