Kids fashion is always on my radar, so I was thrilled to attend Kids Fashion Week in New York City this month. From luxury to fun, there was fashion to fit every kids personality on the runway. Kids fashion has been all the rage lately and the demand for trendy designs continues to grow. Petite Parade created Kids Fashion Week in NYC to legitimize children’s fashion as well as offer an alternative source of visibility for kid related brands. It was all about the kids that week. The kids were everywhere and a part of everything from models, to host, to DJ’s and front row style experts (ex. June Ambrose’s children).
Showcasing their Fall 2013 lines at Kids Fashion Week were some of the most amazing brands, some well known and some up and coming. Retail giant Target kicked off the shows, followed by Diesel, Bonnie Young, Pale Cloud, Iceberg, Stride Rite and more. Vogue Bambini always makes a presence at Kids Fashion Week and Style Sight was there as well. I chose some of my favorite picks from a few of the shows, which you can check out below.
Not only did I get to see some of the best in kids fashion, but I also got to meet stylist to the stars, rock mom June Ambrose and maternity maven and mom Latham Thomas. These two women truly inspire me. They are business women and New York moms who do it all. June showed that being a mom comes first as she spent the weekend with her son Chance and daughter Summer at the Kids Fashion Week Shows. Latham’s son DJ Fulano rocked the turn tables for a few of the shows as well.
Are you kids big on fashion? Do your kids like putting together their own outfits? Which designer from the show best fits your child’s fashion personality?
