Are your children watching Octonauts on Disney Jr?  I try to keep up on children’s media, because as an Early Childhood Teacher it’s important that I know what my students are watching.  Sometimes I can incorporate their favorite shows into our lessons. Octonauts is definitely a children’s show that I would encourage parents to play in their homes.  The show has educational components, the characters are adorable and the quality of the show is amazing.  The Octonauts are always on an adventure helping others and solving problems.  There’s a positive message in each show.  There is also vocabulary being taught throughout the show that grabs my attention every time.

So, who are the Octonauts?  The Octonauts are a crew of eight adorable animals who explore the ocean in search of adventure and fun! From their undersea “Octopod” base, the eight talented critters (including a valiant polar bear, daredevil kitten, and big-hearted penguin) are always ready to embark on new exciting missions.
