Hey Parents! Summer vacation is here for some and approaching quickly for others. Do you keep the learning going throughout the summer? If you have a little one at home that’s preparing for preschool or kindergarten I have a great product that you and your child can have fun with over the course of the summer.  Every Thursday throughout the summer I will be introducing products, toys and apps that you can add into your child’s Summer learning fun.

I am always on the hunt for great products for kids in the classroom and for at home. One of the advantages I have as a teacher is that I get to order amazing educational products for children and test them out. I’m happy to be able to share some of my finds with all of you. So, if you’re looking for learning tools that can assist you in a little summer learning with your child, then here is one. Lakeshore Learning’s All About Letters Pocket Chart may fit perfectly in your child’s room and act as the perfect learning tool. Teaching your child the alphabet or reviewing the letters has never been easier. If you have a preschooler or kindergartner you may have seen this product in their classrooms or something similar to it. Just because teachers use it doesn’t mean you can’t.

What I really like about the All About Letters Pocket Chart is that it has several pockets, hangs easily and allows you the ability to add your own custom learning cards, pictures etc. For example, if you’re focusing on the letter “B”, then you can take your own pictures with your child around the house of things that start with the letter “B” and then add them to the chart. Adapt this chart to your child’s needs or just use the materials that are included in the package. It’s been one of my favorite products from Lakeshore Learning for many years.  Lakeshore Learning has been one of my go to stores for educational products for the last 12 years.  I’m a huge fan of their products and use many of them daily.  Hey Parents, did you know that Lakeshore Learning stores have free crafts every Saturday morning at all of their stores?  One of my first webisodes was at my local Lakeshore Learning store in new Jersey.  Check out the video here.

See more of Lakeshore Learning’s education products by visiting their site, www.lakeshorelearning.com.  Do you review educational skills with your child over the summer months?  Is your child currently preparing for preschool or kindergarten?  Are learning toys/products important for you to incorporate into your child’s summer fun?
