Well by now you may know that I’m a Special Education Preschool Teacher and I absolutely love exploring new toys, games, books and technology for those little guys. I really get to test out these products not only in group settings but also one on one with students. I get to see real reactions from children and we all know they can be extremely honest, especially at the tender ages of 3,4 & 5.
The newest preschool goodies I’m currently using or loving are, of course, the items I’m giving away during my #HelloPreschool Twitter Party. Oh yeah, that’s right, I’m giving them away, so check them out below. They range in developmental areas and preschool skill areas, from dramatic play, fine motor skills, social skills, pre-literacy skills to pre-academic skills. Your little one can review all of those skills just by playing with these 4 items.
1. Rubik’s Stack & Build Blocks from Tolly Tots – These blocks are made of the iconic rubiks colors. They are 3D blocks that are easy to stack & build. Great for working on those fine motor skills, spatial skills, social skills, language skills, hand-eye coordination and more. Block building can lead to a ton of fun!
2. StoryBots Starring You Story Book App – There’s a new app in town and it has special star, Your Child! Your child can be the star or main character in a book. This app from StoryBots allows you to create personalized story books that feature your child’s face and name. Your little one will be putting their pre-literacy/literacy skills to work while using this app. It will also promote language skills, social skills and more. Let the stories begin!
3. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Match & Munch Game from The World of Eric Carle – Players get to help the caterpillar grow into a beautiful butterfly by matching, collecting and trading food cards. Players will be working on several skills here and they won’t even know it. Matching, memory, social, language and fine motor skills all overlap during this game. Oh and it’s easy to clean up and travel with because of the soft caterpillar bag all of the pieces can be stored in.
4. The Minnie Mouse Flipping Fun Kitchen from Just Play Toys – Get ready for hours of fun with this adorable kitchen. Your child will love pretend play while they cook, mix, bake and whip up all kinds of pretend goodies in this kitchen. They will be working on a host of skills (social, language, creative skills & more) while enjoying play time in their kitchen. Oh and the pop up Minnie Mouse head just tops off the cuteness.
