Episode 3 Show Notes:

You Should Know Better

Hey everyone!  It’s Episode 3 of Crayons and Tantrums.  It’s time to get real today. Have you ever found yourself saying things like; “You should know better”, “Act your age.” “Stop acting like a baby”, “Stop that.”  “Keep it up and….”

Are you guilty?  Hey, I’ve been guilty of saying similar things and probably some of those same things.  I’m not afraid to admit it.  There have been plenty of times in the classroom that I’ve had to take a step back and PAUSE.  I had to quickly ask myself if I was fairly setting appropriate expectations for my students or was I wanting them to act a certain way because it would just make my life a little easier in the moment.  Being that honest with myself wasn’t easy, but it was necessary.

That’s why today we’re talking about Expectations for Young Children.  Join the conversation!

Don’t forget to check in every Wednesday for a new episode. Come hang out with me on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter so we can hold each other accountable on understanding your child’s behavior and development and how to best approach the challenges.  Chat soon!
